An Alcathon is a round-the-clock A.A. meeting, where people can drop in at any hour of the day or night.
Groups often hold them over holidays such as Christmas and New Year's, when many of us need extra support. Some groups also share one between them, with each group hosting a short stretch of the meeting. You may also see it spelled "Alkathon."
Anyone can come for an hour or stay for most of the day. Ask at a meeting, check our events list above, or look on nyintergroup.org for this year's holiday marathons.
